Jaime Carvalho Esteves, despite considering that “the use of AI for the preparation of decisions will be a reality in the near future“, “the main problems in these courts are the slowness of decisions, the lack of experts […] and the excessive litigation by the Tax Authority“, so the priority is to “allow the use of experts by the magistrates and free them from (issues) without material relevance“.
