Ja<\/a>ime Carvalho Esteve<\/a>s<\/a> <\/b>founding partner of J+Legal, was featured on TVI’s daily news addressing IRS and State’s Budget.<\/p>\n

The tax specialist alerted for the changes in the tax brackets and the accommodation of inflation, that will take effect for the whole of 2022 and will lead to a downward change in the practical withholding tables to be used for the rest of the year.
For the Partner, “It would be technically possible for the first withholding tax to be withheld after the Law comes into force to correct the previous excess withholding tax due to the changes made in the middle of the year (…) But it appears that this will not be the case and that this excess withholding will only be refunded in the settlement of accounts for 2022 to be processed in 2023.”<\/p>\n
